Burkule Sanju

This was my first visit to a NGO. I was surprised to see a 5 floor building at the location. And it belonged to the NGO. These NGO is working from 1979. Huge amount of experience. Every suggestion we have was tried out by these experienced folks. They had made a difference to the lives of thousands of people. There are innumerable success stories. We found one major future project that be undertaken: Documentation of how to create a new branch and get it up and running was not up to the mark. This is the reason why this model cannot be replicated in many other remote areas very quickly. If we can create 10 Swaroopwadhini's within a given number of months with X budget per branch, then it would be a replicable model that can be forecasted for other villages/towns/slums. Overall - I was impressed with the maturity of the site and the people whom they have led. In a small annual expense budget of 27 lakhs, these folks can change so many lives. More than 4000 kids benefit per year. and many ladies (mothers of these kids) become self sufficient. Overall, an excellent and efficient NGO.
